Rojak Sessions>>FAQ

Is Rojak Sessions some kind of all-you-can-eat deal?
We wish it was, but the authorities would never allow us to prepare food for general consumption. Rojak Sessions is a gathering for people who like music to hang out, socialise (yes, even without a computer!), and share their favourite tunes with others.

How much will this cost?
Absolutely nothing!

Phew. So how does it work?
Rojak Sessions is a community-based affair, so what you put into determines how good the session is. You bring your own music on any format, including mp3 (but do tell us if you're going to bring a casette), sign up your tune on the playlist, and voila! sit back and enjoy the tune. You can also bring your own food and drink, so while listening to music and engaging in light banter, you can also guzzle the stuff you brought for the session.

You mean I have to share my music AND food?
Come on... sharing is caring! Food and drink you bring will be placed on an all-access table where everyone can enjoy tasty treats. Alcohol is OK.

Can I play my 'Legends of Estonian Polka' record?
Yes! You can play any music of any genre. Even Estonian polka.

But I hate 'techno music' and clubbing. Will I get anything out of Rojak Sessions?
Don't be a hater! We're an electronic music website but we all listen to other kinds of music as well. Besides, you might just find that 'techno music' isn't what you believe it is at all. Come with an open mind, and your life will be enriched. Really.

Do I have to be a DJ with huge, over-priced headphones and a ridiculous record collection to play my tunes?
No. But if you are, you have our sympathies.

Sounds good, how often are Rojak Sessions held?
The second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Venues might change from week to week, so email us beatcows@justdancelah.com if you need directions.
