PALA 2004

Check out PALA 2004 at the MINES MIECC Malaysia from July 15-18 this year. PALA is a pro audio and light exhibition and is an annual event. Normally they do it in Singapore but this year they're having it in Malaysia for the first time so do come and check it out.

All you gear freaks(like myself...hehe) do visit. It's free entry. Sign up for the newsletter on the main PALA website to keep yourself up to date @ www.palaonline.com. There'll be a bunch of DJ product brands that will be having their products on display and to touch touch and play play...so u know you're gunna have fun. I know I will seeing how I can't afford jack shit at times and end up havin to go to these sorta events to enjoy my hands on some of the most top quality gears.

A limited edition luxury skratch turntable designed by DJ Q-Bert, the QFO will also be released soon this year. It's a turntable + skratch mixer hybrid, sort of like the outcome after the PDX2000Mk2Pro did the wild thang with a Vestax skratch mixer.

But this was one of Q-Bert's fantasies really. And now it's actually for real. The photos are available on Vestax's site. It's quite a crazy turntable as you can see. And is really a Luxury item as I've heard it to be seeing how it's going to cost a whooping USD2000 retail.

Only 500 will be made and this is going to be more of a luxury item unless you can afford to buy 2 so that you can thrash one live and keep the other up on a gold pedestal at home.

The QFO will come stock with the latest unreleased ORTOFON skratch needles. More info on that soon but those are definitely something to watch out.

That's right folks, we've officially joined that wretched world of endless whining, ranting and rambling known as The Blogosphere! (cue thunder and lightning). And what are we going to do with our virgin blog? Give it to our good friend (and fearsome turntablist) DJ Ideaz, of course. Right.

Ideaz will be scouring the Web and beyond for the latest DJ gear news and him being arguably Malaysia's biggest gearhead, you know it'll be fresh. So check back often, ya hear?!
